Objective: To present the results of the second phase of the PSAS-9 program regarding the health impacts of urban air pollution. The relative risks associated with short-term exposure to air pollution and health indicators are relatively low; however, since the entire urban population is exposed to air pollution, the number of attributable cases is far from negligible.
