Physical Activity: A Key to Boosting Self-Esteem Among Juvenile Detainees [Interview].

At the Villepinte Detention Center, in addition to regularly monitoring young inmates through individual interviews and socio-educational workshops, the educators offer them the opportunity to participate in a regular "fitness/weight training" workshop. They have observed just how low these minors’ self-esteem is. In some cases, the physical activity workshop helps restore their confidence in their abilities.
