AIDS Surveillance in France: Status as of June 30, 1994

As it does every quarter, the Weekly Epidemiological Bulletin publishes an update on the AIDS situation in France. This issue analyzes the number of cases reported as of June 30, 1994, in France and by department, including the overseas departments (DOM), as well as the characteristics of the patients and the disease: total number of cases and trends since 1978, distribution by age, sex, and transmission group, deaths, and opportunistic infections contracted. The final section describes the organization of AIDS surveillance and the data collected.
