Monitoring of Hepatitis C Screening Activity and Screening Control within the Rena-VHC Laboratory Network, France, 2000–2001.

In 2000, a surveillance network for hepatitis C screening was established. This network, composed of clinical laboratories, aimed to study long-term trends and seasonal variations in hepatitis C screening in France and to track changes in the characteristics of individuals testing positive, in terms of age and sex. This article presents the results from the first two years of surveillance.
