Survival of Cancer Patients in Metropolitan France, 1989–2018 - Central Nervous System - Glioblastomas

In France, for the year 2018, the estimated number of new cases of histologically confirmed glioblastomas was 3,481, including 2,003 in men. Key point: Poor prognosis, with a 5-year net standardized survival rate of 7% for individuals diagnosed between 2010 and 2015; A 21-percentage-point improvement in 1-year standardized net survival between 1990 and 2015, most pronounced among people aged 60 and older; No notable improvement in 5- and 10-year standardized net survival.
