In the Toulouse school district, a program on emotional and sexual education has been implemented in several schools, from preschool through high school. This program has focused in particular on relationships between girls and boys, violence, and risky behaviors. The results show fruitful cooperation between schools and strong student engagement, with some students becoming “prevention advocates” among their peers. This positive outcome is offset by financial and organizational challenges, which highlight how difficult it is to ensure the long-term sustainability of this type of project.
