2005 Health Barometer: Survey on the Health of the French Population.

Alcohol and tobacco use are on the decline, the number of regular cannabis users is rising, significant social inequalities in health persist, and a high level of distress has been observed among adolescent girls; however, there are also promising results regarding the use of the morning-after pill, screening for certain cancers, and tobacco control efforts: the detailed results of the INPES 2005 Health Barometer survey have just been released. Here is a summary of some of the findings.
