The 2022 health recommendations for travelers are being published as France emerges from the Omicron wave of SARS-CoV-2, while many uncertainties remain regarding the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. The following recommendations were approved by the Specialized Commission on Infectious and Emerging Diseases of the High Council for Public Health (HCSP) on April 14, 2022. They were developed by a specific working group of this commission (see § Working Group Members and Contributors), which included the National Reference Center (CNR) for Malaria, the CNR for Arboviruses, Santé publique France, the National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety (ANSM), the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES), the Armed Forces Health Service, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and the High Authority for Health (HAS). This working group took into account the recommendations of the WHO. As of the date of publication, the document may not reflect changes in risk or the emergence of new infectious diseases; it is therefore subject to updates based on developments in the international situation.
