Mpox cases in France. January 1 – November 20, 2025.

  • Since January 1, 2025, 174 cases of mpox have been reported to Santé publique France.

  • The vast majority of reported cases involve adult men.

  • Four cases of infection with a Clade Ib virus have been identified since the start of the outbreak.

    • All of these cases were linked to an African country where the monkeypox virus clade I is circulating (residence, travel, or contact with a person who had been in one of these countries).

    • The most recent case was confirmed in September.
