Vaccination of Pregnant Women, Seniors, and Adults at High Risk in France in 2025

Among pregnant women
- 71% were vaccinated against pertussis, a sharp increase since 2023;
- 52% were vaccinated against RSV infections, a sharp increase compared to the previous season;
- Estimates of vaccination coverage against influenza and COVID-19 are not very robust, but suggest very low uptake.
Among people aged 65 and older
- 57% were vaccinated against the flu, and 17% against COVID-19;
- 26% of those with risk factors were properly vaccinated against pneumococcal infections;
- Fewer than 10% were vaccinated against shingles;
- 81% of adults aged 65 to 79 say they are in favor of vaccination in 2024.
Among nursing home residents
- 83% had been vaccinated against the flu, and 63% against COVID-19.
Among healthcare professionals working in nursing homes
- 25% have been vaccinated against the flu, and less than 5% against COVID-19.
Regional Disparities
- Regional differences are observed, with higher vaccination rates in the northwestern quarter of mainland France than in the southeastern quarter. Vaccination rates are higher in mainland France than in the overseas departments and regions (DROM).
