Vaccination

Vaccination

Contagious diseases most often affect children at a very young age. Because children are particularly vulnerable, they are a priority target for vaccination programs.

Our Mission

  • Promote vaccination among the general public and healthcare professionals

  • Monitoring changes in public perception of vaccination and among healthcare professionals, and building their confidence

  • Conduct epidemiological surveillance of vaccine-preventable diseases

  • Monitoring vaccination coverage

  • Contributing to expert analysis of vaccination policies at the national and European levels.

Are there any risks associated with vaccination?

In addition to the standard checks conducted by the manufacturer before a batch of vaccines is released for sale, all vaccine batches undergo, prior to their release onto the market in the European Union, an inspection by the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety (ANSM) or by another European health authority, in accordance with the principle of mutual recognition of inspections.
This dual inspection provides an additional guarantee of the safety and quality of vaccines.
