Overview
In Week 15 (April 6–12, 2026), overall activity was marked by stable call volumes in both networks, with the exception of patients aged 75 and older in the SOS Médecins network, where activity increased (+7%). This specific increase is partly due to the carryover of activity from Easter Monday.
Seasonal indicators: In line with the onset of rising temperatures, there has been an increase in calls across all age groups for insect bites in both networks, as well as for hyperthermia/heatstroke and dehydration in emergency departments. An increase in allergies has also been noted in the SOS Médecins network.
Respiratory system: increased visits for pneumonia in both networks, as well as for ENT infections in emergency departments among those aged 75 and older.
Digestive system: increased incidence of vomiting among children and gastroenteritis among adults in emergency departments; these symptoms are also on the rise among those aged 75 and older in the SOS Médecins network.
Chickenpox: the virus continues to circulate, with an increase among children in both networks.
Nationally, the number of deaths from all causes in week 15, as determined by electronic death certificates, is up compared to the previous week, primarily among those aged 15–44.
