Key Points

In Week 40 (September 28–October 4, 2026), activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased compared to the previous week among people aged 75 and older (+6%, or +387 procedures), with figures comparable to those of previous years. Activity remained stable in other age groups.

There was a continued increase in respiratory indicators, at levels comparable to previous years for:

  • Suspected COVID-19 infection in all age groups (+26%, or +280 cases);
  • Influenza/flu-like illness among children under 2 years of age (+27%, or +16 cases) and among those aged 75 and older (+15%, or +14 cases);
  • Pneumonia among those aged 75 and older (+14%, or +41 cases);
  • Bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age (+19%, or +19 visits).

Among other indicators, there was also an increase in cases for:

  • Infectious conjunctivitis in children under 15 years of age (+18%, or +73 cases);
  • ENT conditions in children under 15 years of age (+18%, or +55 procedures);
  • Depression in those aged 45 or older (+29%, or +26 cases) and anxiety in those aged 65 or older (+12%, or +18 cases);
  • Gastroenteritis across all age groups (+9%, or +449 cases);
  • Low back pain/sciatica in people aged 75 or older (+28%, or +63 procedures).
