Key Points

In Week 26 (June 22–28, 2026), activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased compared to the previous week among people aged 75 and older (+14%, or +850 visits) and remained stable across all other age groups.

Amid a heat wave, there was an increase in the number of cases compared to the previous week for:

  • All age groups for heatstroke (+480%, or +2,414 cases), dehydration (+316%, or +395 cases), and fainting (+49%, or +159 cases), with figures higher than in previous years,
  • Among those aged 75 and older for isolated fever (+53%, or +38 cases), deterioration in general health (+43%, or +137 cases), and anxiety (+35%, or +53 cases), with figures higher than in previous years,
  • Among adults, for insect bites (+233%, or +202 visits),
  • Among children under 2 years of age for allergies (+78%, or +57 cases).

There was also an 85% increase (241 more cases) in deaths reported by SOS Médecins among people aged 75 and older.

Among other conditions, there was an increase in cases for:

  • Upper respiratory tract infections (+13%, or +1,229 cases) among children aged 2–14,
  •  Skin conditions (+42%, or +173 cases) among children under 15.
