Key Points

• In Week 30 (July 20–26, 2026), the number of emergency department visits and hospitalizations following those visits decreased among children (-9%, or 6,803 fewer visits, and -7%, or 491 fewer hospitalizations) and, to a lesser extent, among those aged 15–74 (-5%, or 13,626 fewer visits, and -4%, or 1,899 fewer hospitalizations). These indicators remained stable among people aged 75 and older.
• Compared to the previous week, all monitored indicators were stable or declining among both children and adults, with the exception of an increase in visits for:
  • Urinary tract infections among children under 2 years of age (+20%, or +50 visits),
  • Suicidal behavior among those aged 45–64 (+9%, or +32 visits),
  • Neurological problems (dizziness/headaches/migraines) among those aged 75 or older (+12%, or +138 visits)
• Although on the decline, emergency department visits for gastrointestinal conditions (vomiting in all age groups, gastroenteritis in children) remained higher than those observed in previous years.
