Key Points
- At the national level, the number of deaths from all causes reported by INSEE remained within the usual range of fluctuation during weeks S31-2026 and S32-2026 (July 27 through August 9, 2026) across all age groups.
- At the regional level, the number of deaths from all causes reported by INSEE remained within the usual range of fluctuation across all regions in weeks S31 and S32 (unconsolidated data).
- In week S33-2026 (August 10–16, 2026), at the national level, the number of electronically certified deaths reported by Inserm-CépiDc increased among those aged 85 and older, as well as among deaths occurring at home and in long-term care facilities. It remained stable or declined in other age groups and other places of death.
