In week 36 (September 2–8), overall activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children (+15%, or 1,879 more visits) and remained stable among adults.

Following this first week of the new school year, we note an increase in asthma-related visits among children (+83%, or 92 more visits) and adults (+26%, or 76 more visits), as well as an increase in allergy-related visits among children under 2 years of age only (+71%, or 46 more visits), with activity shares comparable to those observed in the previous two years. As for other non-specific and seasonal indicators, they are all stable or declining, both among children and adults.

Among the most common conditions, there was an increase in procedures for respiratory conditions in children and adults under 75 (respiratory tract conditions: +12%, or +1,462 procedures; bronchitis +55%, or +135 cases, among children only) and digestive system conditions, particularly gastroenteritis (+13%, or +478 cases). These increases are more pronounced among children, with rises exceeding 20%, whereas they are less than 10% among adults. Also related to the start of the school year, there was an increase in procedures for trauma (+17%, or +65 procedures) among children aged 2–14.
