Key Points

  • In week 36 (September 1–7, 2025), activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children (+11%, or +1,832 visits), decreased among those aged 75 and older (-9%, or -578 visits), and remained stable among those aged 15–74.

  • Indicators related to acute digestive conditions continued to rise among children, with an increase in cases of vomiting (+26%, or +39 cases), acute abdominal pain (+19%, or 67 more visits), gastroenteritis (+6%, or 79 more visits), and, among children under 2 years of age only, for diarrhea (+24%, or 17 more visits).

  • Regarding respiratory indicators, among children there was an increase in procedures for upper respiratory tract conditions (+16%, or +976 procedures), cough (+39%, or +528 visits), and, among children aged 2–14 only, for asthma attacks (+73%, or +106 visits) and for influenza/flu-like illness (+33%, or +63 visits).

  • Among adults, there was an increase in visits for asthma attacks (+7%, or +27 visits); among those aged 75 and older, for cough (+19%, or +56 visits); and among those aged 15–74, for influenza/flu-like illness (+15%, or +183 visits). Finally, across all age groups, there was an increase in visits for suspected COVID-19 infection (+9%, or +82 visits) among patient numbers comparable to previous years.

  • Among other indicators, there was an increase in visits among children for trauma (+12%, or +76 visits), viral syndrome (+20%, or +56 visits), and among those aged 2–14 for isolated fever (+13%, or +41 visits). Among adults, there was an increase in visits for malaise (+15%, or +35 visits) and for isolated fever among those aged 75 and older (+26%, or +18 visits).

  • Finally, there was an increase in visits for anxiety among children (+26%, or +8 visits) and for depressive episodes among those aged 45 and older (+17%, or +19 visits).
