Summary

In Week 3 of 2019 (January 14–20), total activity at SOS Médecins clinics increased among children (+26%, or 6,337 visits) and decreased among adults (-4%, or 2,507 visits).

Over the past week, all winter respiratory and ENT conditions increased among children at levels comparable to those of previous years: - bronchitis (+38%, +442 cases), pneumonia (+43%, or +59 cases), ENT conditions (+33%, or +3,211 cases), as well as asthma (+40%, or +128 cases) and isolated fever (+20%, or +108 cases), - influenza/flu-like illness in both children (+126%, or +1,926 procedures) and adults (+42%, or +1,741 procedures)

Furthermore, there was an increase in procedures for abdominal pain among people aged 75 and older (+22%), while procedures for gastroenteritis and vomiting remained stable for this age group.
