Key Points

  • In Week 08 (February 17–23, 2025), compared to the previous week, activity at SOS Médecins clinics continued to rise slightly among those aged 75 and older (+8%, or +486 visits) and declined among those aged 2–14 (-16%, or -3,942 visits). It remains stable among those under 2 years of age and among those aged 15–74.

  • For the fourth consecutive week, cases of influenza/flu-like illness continued to decline across all age groups (-37%, or -2,032 cases compared to the previous week). Procedures related to other respiratory conditions are stable or declining, with the exception, among those aged 75 and older, of an increase in procedures for acute bronchitis (+20%, or +86 procedures) and for upper respiratory tract infections (+10%, or +34 procedures).

  • Regarding indicators related to acute digestive conditions, there was an increase in procedures for: diarrhea in children under 2 years of age (+24%, or +17 procedures), acute gastroenteritis (+38%, or +62 procedures) in those aged 75 and older, and acute abdominal pain in adults (+9%, or +119 procedures). Among adults, there was also an increase in procedures for urinary tract infections (+17%, or +255 procedures).

  • Among other indicators, there was an increase in visits for trauma among adults and children aged 2–14 (13% and 23% respectively, or 266 and 77 visits) and for low back pain/sciatica among adults (9%, or 233 visits); various dermatological conditions (+30%, or +22 cases) and isolated fever (+8%, or +13 cases) among children under 2 years of age, allergies among 2- to 14-year-olds (+34%, or +76 cases), and conjunctivitis among adults (+10%, or +49 cases).

  • Finally, there was an increase in procedures for anxiety among those aged 15–44 and those aged 65 and older (8% and 29% increases, respectively, or 55 and 36 additional procedures) and for depressive disorders among those aged 15–44 and older (47% increase, or 55 additional procedures).
