SOS Médecins National Newsletter, April 20, 2010
Over the past week, the total volume of activity for SOS Médecins associations decreased compared to the previous week in all geographic areas.
The share of cases for the "gastroenteritis" indicator is declining across all geographic regions. It accounts for approximately 15% of total activity. Despite two peaks observed over the past two weekends, the share of cases for the "allergies" indicator decreased slightly across France last week. This decline applies to all geographic regions except those in the South, where the indicator increased. Call reasons for asthma among those over 2 years of age have stabilized. For information, calls for insect bites have increased over the past few days (graphs not shown). The number of deaths certified by the SOS Médecins associations is similar to that of the previous week.
For the past week, a decrease in overall activity was observed in most regions, likely due to school holidays.
