Summary

In Week 13 (March 25–31, 2019), total SOS Médecins activity increased among children aged 2–14 (+6%, or +1,054 visits), while remaining stable among children under 2 and adults.

Over the past week, the following trends were observed:

  • Among children and adults, an increase in cases of allergies (respectively +17%, or +86 cases, and +27%, or +224 cases, among those aged 15–74 only) and asthma (+14%, or +131 cases, across all ages).

  • in children, an increase in visits - for gastroenteritis (+7%, or +177 visits); - only among 2- to 14-year-olds, for chickenpox (+20%, or +84 visits), viral syndrome (+14%, or +57 visits), isolated fever (+12%, or +45 visits), and insect bites (+62%, or +32 visits).

  • Among adults, an increase in visits for bronchitis (+10%, or +180 visits) and, only among those aged 75 and older (in small numbers), an increase in visits for upper respiratory tract conditions (+13%) and pneumonia (+8%).
