Summary
Visits and hospitalizations for all causes are rising sharply among children (+12%) and remain stable among adults. This increase among children is linked to the start of the school year.
Most conditions seen in emergency departments among children under 15 are on the rise, primarily visits for asthma (back-to-school asthma peak), ENT infections, and abdominal pain.
Visits and hospitalizations related to heat across all age groups have decreased over the past week.
