Key Points

In Week 44 (October 27–November 2, 2025), the second week of the All Saints’ Day holiday, the number of emergency department visits and hospitalizations following such visits remained stable or decreased slightly compared to the previous week for both children and adults.

However, there was a slight increase in visits:

  • Among children: for bronchiolitis in children under 1 year of age (+6%, or +83 visits), skin/subcutaneous infections (+8.5%, or +56 visits) and chickenpox (+32%, or +48 visits) among 2- to 14-year-olds, and suicide attempts among children under 15 (+23%, or +26 visits),

  • among adults aged 15–74 for conjunctivitis (+10%, or +39 visits),

  • among adults aged 75 and older, for bronchitis (+8%, or +26 visits), asthma attacks (+16%, or +16 visits), and gastroenteritis (+21%, or +38 visits).
