Summary
The number of emergency room visits and hospitalizations is on the rise among children under 2 years of age and among those aged 15–74 (hospitalizations only).
Among children under 2 years of age, emergency room visits and hospitalizations for bronchiolitis continue to rise sharply nationwide, starting earlier than in the previous two years. The outbreak is widespread in northern and western France and is beginning to spread eastward.
The number of emergency department visits for stress remained high during week 47 both nationally and in the Île-de-France region. People aged 15 to 44 continue to account for the largest proportion of cases.
