Key Points

In Week 24 of 2022, indicators remained stable or declined among children and adults in the OSCOUR and SOS Médecins networks, with the exception of emergency department visits for suicide attempts among children, which rose slightly.

The levels observed are comparable to or lower than those of previous years for all indicators.

Week 24 (June 13–19, 2022):

  • Data on emergency department visits from the OSCOUR® network:

    • Among children, visits due to suicide attempts are slightly up (+16%, or 22 incidents). Visits due to mood disorders and anxiety disorders are down. The observed levels for suicide attempts and mood disorders remain high, comparable to those of 2021.

    • Among adults (ages 15 and older), visits for mood disorders, suicide attempts, and anxiety disorders are down. The observed levels are comparable to those of previous years for all indicators.

  • Data on medical procedures from the SOS Médecins associations:

    • Among children, medical procedures for anxiety, depressive states, and behavioral disorders are stable or declining. The levels observed for these three indicators are comparable to those of previous years.

    • Among adults (aged 15 and older), for all indicators, the number of medical procedures remains within the fluctuation ranges observed since the beginning of the year and at levels comparable to or even lower (particularly for anxiety) than those of previous years.
