Mental Health. Monthly Update, June 2022.
Key points
In the emergency room:
Among 11- to 17-year-olds, following a sharp increase in visits due to suicide attempts, suicidal thoughts, and mood disorders after the end of the Easter break, a decline in these indicators was observed in S21 (marked by the Ascension Day long weekend), though the number of cases remained at a high level. This decline was also observed among adults, particularly those aged 18–24, for whom the observed levels remained higher than in previous years, as did visits for suicidal thoughts among those aged 25 and older.
In the SOS Médecins network:
An increase in cases of depressive states was noted among people aged 65 and older, but the number of cases remained at levels comparable to those of previous years.
