First week of the school year. In the ER:

  • Admissions for suicidal ideation across all age groups higher than in previous years

  • A marked increase in indicators among children aged 11–17, particularly for suicidal acts and thoughts, also rising among young adults aged 18–24 (to a lesser extent), at levels higher than in previous years

In the SOS Médecins network: Increase in medical visits for anxiety among 15- to 17-year-olds and 25- to 64-year-olds. Visits for depressive episodes were also on the rise among adults, though at lower numbers.
