• Among children, visits for the various indicators across both networks were stable or declining in October compared to September, with the exception of an increase in visits for alcohol intoxication among 15- to 17-year-olds. The decline in patient numbers was mainly observed during the last two weeks of the month, coinciding with school holidays. Emergency department visits for suicidal ideation remained higher than the levels observed in the previous three years across all three age groups, as did those for alcohol intoxication among 15- to 17-year-olds.

Visits for mood disorders, anxiety, and depressive states also exceeded previous years’ levels among 18- to 24-year-olds and 25- to 64-year-olds.
