Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, September 3, 2019

Nationwide, during week 34 (August 19–25), mortality across all ages and causes remained within the usual range of variation.
These findings should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet finalized due to the usual delays in data transmission. Their purpose is to describe trends in mortality without linking them to any current events. A report on mortality observed during the two heat waves will be published in the fall.
According to data from electronic certification, 2,167 deaths were recorded in week 35 (August 26–September 1, 2019).
