Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, September 10, 2019

Nationwide, during Week 35 (August 26–September 1), mortality across all age groups and causes of death remained within the usual range of variation.
These findings should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet finalized due to standard reporting delays. Their purpose is to describe trends in mortality without linking them to any current events. A summary of mortality observed during the two heat waves will be published in the fall.

According to data from electronic certification, 1,969 deaths were recorded in week 36 (September 2–8, 2019).
