Summary

Based on mortality data provided by INSEE, the observed number of deaths from all causes during week 42 (October 16–22, 2017) remains within the usual range of fluctuation for this period, both for all ages and by age group (Figures 1–3).

Given the usual delays in data transmission, the observed mortality figures are still incomplete. Caution should therefore be exercised when interpreting these observations.

According to data from electronic certification, 1,431 deaths were recorded during week 43 of 2017 (October 23–29, 2017).
