Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, October 3, 2017.

Summary

Based on mortality data provided by INSEE, the observed number of deaths from all causes during week 38 (September 18–24, 2017) remains within the usual range of fluctuation for this period, both for all ages and by age group (Figures 1–3).Given the usual delays in data transmission, the observed mortality figures are still incomplete. Caution is therefore advised when interpreting these observations. According to data from electronic certification, 1,410 deaths were recorded during week 39 of 2017 (September 25 to October 1, 2017).
