Summary

Based on mortality data provided by INSEE, the observed number of deaths from all causes during week 39 (September 25 to October 1, 2017) remains within the usual range of fluctuation for this period, both for all ages and by age group (Figures 1 to 3).Given the usual delays in data transmission, the observed mortality figures are still incomplete. Caution should therefore be exercised when interpreting these observations. According to data from electronic certification, 1,367 deaths were recorded during week 40 of 2017 (October 2–8, 2017).
