Summary

During the last week of October (October 27 to November 2, 2014 – Week 44), the number of deaths recorded by civil registry offices was in line with expectations for this period (Figures 1 and 2). Mortality follows the usual seasonal pattern both across all ages and within the various age groups (Figure 3). 628 deaths were certified electronically during the past week (November 3–9), a figure that remained stable compared to the previous four weeks (Figure 4).
