Due to the long weekend of May 8, the completeness of mortality data from civil registry offices is lower than usual. Trends in mortality will be confirmed once the data is consolidated.
The number of deaths from all causes reported by INSEE remains within the usual range of fluctuation across all age groups and regions through week 17.
In week 18, the number of deaths certified electronically decreased by 7.7% compared to the previous week.
