Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, May 7, 2018.

Summary

At the national level, mortality observed over the four weeks of April 2018 (weeks 14 through 17) returned to within the usual range of fluctuation across all age groups (Figures 1 through 3). This was also the case across all regions during weeks 16 and 17 (April 16–29).

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual reporting delays and the holiday period.

According to data from electronic certification, 1,625 deaths were recorded during week 18 (April 30–May 6).
