Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, May 19, 2015.

Summary

During the first week of May, the mortality recorded by the civil registry offices participating in the surveillance program (70% of national mortality) remained, as in previous weeks, within the usual range of fluctuations. For the third consecutive week, the number of deaths returned to expected levels, both across all ages and by age group (Figures 1–3). Electronically certified mortality continued to stabilize during week 20 (May 11–17, 2015), with 639 deaths certified electronically (Figure 4).
