Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, May 16, 2017.

Summary

According to mortality data provided by INSEE, the observed number of deaths from all causes during week 18 (May 1–7, 2017) remained lower than the expected number for this period for the sixth consecutive week, across all age groups and particularly among people aged 65 and older (Figures 1–3). Based on data from electronic death certificates, 1,285 deaths were recorded during week 19 of 2017 (May 8–14, 2017).
