Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, June 12, 2018.

Summary

Nationally, the number of deaths recorded during Week 21 (May 21–27) by vital statistics offices remains within the usual range of variation for both adults aged 15–64 and those aged 65 and older (Figures 1–3). Deaths among children under 15, which had risen slightly in Week 20—primarily in the Île-de-France region—returned to the usual range of fluctuations this week.

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are still unconsolidated due to the usual transmission delays.

According to data from electronic certification, 1,669 deaths were recorded in week 23 (June 4–10) (Figure 4).
