Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, July 28, 2015.

Summary

Following a rise in mortality observed in early July linked to the heat wave that affected a large part of the country, the number of deaths recorded by the civil registry offices participating in the surveillance system (70% of national mortality) has been in line with expected death rates since Week 28 at the national level, both across all ages and by age group. Mortality also returned to its usual fluctuations across all regions during week 29 (July 13–19). 651 deaths were electronically certified during week 30 (July 20–26, 2015), a figure stable compared to the previous week.
