Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, July 17, 2017.

Summary

In week 27 (July 3–9), across all age groups, the observed number of deaths is currently lower than expected. However, given the usual delays in data transmission, which were exacerbated by a public holiday in week 28, the observed mortality figures are still incomplete. Caution is therefore advised when interpreting these observations at both the national and regional levels. According to data from electronic certification, 1,242 deaths were recorded during Week 28 of 2017 (July 10–16, 2017).
