Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, January 29, 2019.

Summary

Nationally, all-cause mortality across all age groups has risen gradually since the start of the year and is higher than in the first two weeks of 2019 (December 31 to January 13). This excess mortality affects people aged 15–64 and those aged 85 and older.At the regional level, mortality is also rising in most metropolitan regions, and an excess across all age groups was observed in 7 regions during week 2 (January 7–13).

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are not yet consolidated due to the usual delays in reporting.

According to data from electronic certification, 2,384 deaths were recorded in week 04 (January 21–27, 2019).
