Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, August 8, 2017.

Summary

Based on mortality data provided by INSEE, the observed number of deaths from all causes during week 30 (July 24–30, 2017) remains within the usual range of fluctuation for this period, both across all ages and by age group.

Given the usual delays in data transmission, the mortality figures observed over these two weeks are still incomplete. Caution is therefore advised when interpreting these observations at both the national and regional levels.

According to data from electronic certification, 1,240 deaths were recorded during week 31 of 2017 (July 31–August 6, 2017).
