Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, August 7, 2018.

Summary

Nationally, in week 30 (July 23–29), mortality remained within the usual range of fluctuation across all age groups. Regionally, an upward trend in mortality among those aged 85 and older was observed in Week 30 in the Hauts-de-France and Grand-Est regions. These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are still unconsolidated due to the usual transmission delays.

According to data from electronic death certificates, 1,703 deaths were recorded in week 31 (July 30–August 5).
