Health Surveillance of Mortality. Weekly Update, August 6, 2019

Nationally, in week 30 (July 22–28), the number of deaths from all causes increased among people aged 65 and older, but remained within the usual range of fluctuation among children and adults under 65.

These observations should be interpreted with caution, as the data are still unconsolidated due to transmission delays. Their purpose is to describe trends in mortality, without linking them to any current events.

According to data from electronic death certificates, 1,933 deaths were recorded in week 31 (July 29–August 4, 2019).
