Nationally, based on INSEE data, the number of deaths across all age groups again showed a moderate excess between weeks 12 and 15.

  • This excess of deaths mainly concerns people aged 65–84 and those over 85 in weeks 14 and 15.

  • The number of electronically certified deaths decreased slightly in Week 16, for the second consecutive week.
