Sleep workshops: an alternative to medication.
After identifying numerous sleep disorders among its patients, the Preventive Medicine Center in Bourg-en-Bresse, in the Ain department, launched a series of sleep workshops. Over four sessions, each lasting three hours, professionals provided therapeutic sleep education supplemented by discussions, support groups, and relaxation exercises. The goal: to alleviate the anxiety of insomniacs through means other than medication. The results are positive, but the effects are limited due to the one-time nature of these workshops. Nevertheless, this is undoubtedly an approach worth developing.
