The lockdown has further worsened the mental health of low-income individuals

The “lockdown” in France in the spring of 2020, due to its scale and duration, took a toll on the mental health of many people. Studies conducted during this period showed that lower-income groups experienced more sleep disturbances, psychological distress, and symptoms of anxiety or depression than affluent households. For many, this period was a psychological ordeal, highlighting inequalities not only of a socioeconomic nature but also those related to gender and age.
