Students talking to students.

Schools in Ajaccio have piloted a peer-led AIDS prevention program. The approach works as follows: four or five students, accompanied by adult mentors (who come from different schools) affiliated with the French Ministry of Education, prepare and lead prevention sessions in schools. To ensure that everyone uses a common language and methodology, they are trained together beforehand, thus forming a mixed-gender group. The uniqueness of this initiative lies in the preparatory work involving key stakeholders from the institution at all hierarchical levels within the Academy.
